One More Trip To Seattle

Before leaving this area, I wanted to make another trip to Seattle. So, this morning, Rod and Deb drove over from Port Angeles. We loaded up in the Jeep and headed to Bainbridge Island where we boarded the 11:30 ferry to Seattle.

What a beautiful day. The sun was out and the

A Day In Seattle 048 Seattle skyline was shining as we approached the docks.

Today, we planned to make a trip to the Bed Bath and Beyond as Ellie and I were looking for these cute little handles for corn on the cob. Yes, we found them, they only had two packages...so we each took one. We all love this store, so we spent some time looking at all the neat gadgets. We finally made our purchase and found that it was time to head back down to Pike Market.

Mark was on the lookout for a new variety of apple that is suppose to be better than the Honey Crisp, but it seemed that we found

A Day In Seattle 067 every kind of fruit and vegetable but what he was wanting. After sampling a few different fruits, we purchased two nectarines.

Deb and I made a run through Beecher’s Cheese and tasted and purchased a couple of different cheeses.

Then we made our way down the isle sampling nuts, jellies, and sauces until we arrived at the seafood. I was taken away by the

shrimp and the

salmon while

Rod and Deb wanted to purchase Halibut. They decided on what they wanted and then we were on our way out when we spied

the chocolate shop. But, we all used our will power and walked right on by. Well, I am not sure if it was will power or the fact that we were on the fast track

down all these steps to the

waterfront that would lead us to

our destination for a late lunch. This restaurant sits right on the water. They offer a late afternoon menu, Beat The Tide, that allowed you to choose Chowder or Salad, an Entree, and your choice of Blueberry or Vanilla ice cream for $19. Yummy…we all chose the chowder….Mark and Jim had Oysters, Rod chose Salmon. Deb and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi while Ellie decided on a Salmon and Pasta dish. We all chose Blueberry ice cream except for Deb and Ellie and they stayed with the Vanilla.

After an awesome meal, we wandered through the gift shop. I purchased a couple of items and then it was time to make our way to the ferry dock. We made it just in time to load on the 5:30 boat. As we made our way across the Sound to

Bainbridge Island we said good bye to Seattle for this adventure.

What a fun day in a city I would I will come back to.

  2. Is there anyway to opt out of the music on your blog? I often read my blogs early in the morning and my wife nearly jumps out of her PJ's when the music blasts on.......lol

I really enjoy your blog! I read both you and Just Travelin and like the different views you write on the same places you are visiting.

I was also wondering, do you and Jim have the same or different cameras? If so, what manufacturer?

    Keep on bloggin....be safe

  6. Hi pweaver...

I don't think you can opt out of the music so I guess you have to just be sure your volume in down or off of your computer.

    Now...as for the cameras.

I have a Nikon D90 and use a Nikon 18-200 image stabalized lens.

Mark has a Nikon D-80 and uses the 18-135 lens, but often uses the 300lens. They too are image stabalized.

Jim has a Cannon EOS 50D and uses a 28-135 image stabalized lens.

Ellie uses a Cannon Rebel XTI with a 18-200 image stabalized lens.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments and I am glad you enjoy the blog. Do you have a blog? Are you a fellow RVer?
