Mission Continues...

Yesterday, we continued our mission to complete all the necessary business for the lot purchase.  It was back to the water department to set up an account.  Once the account was opened, then we had to fill out the paperwork to have them cut off the water for the summer and stop the trash pickup.  Go figure.

Next on the list took us by to inquire about insurance.  That was simple and cheap enough...doesn't take long to insure a 12 x 20 building.

Now we are down to 2 items and both have to wait until next week.  The transfer of the homeowners information needed some additional paperwork and hopefully, we will finish that on Monday.  Then, there is set up of the electricity account.  That we will do as soon as Sarah gets her account finalized which takes 3-5 business days.  The electric company is based out of Houston, so we will take care of it either with a phone call or online.

So, with all of that behind us, we decided to join several of the other couples at the pool and hot tub.  It was nice to be able to get acquainted with them.

After dinner, we took a walk around the village...here at the end of the season, there aren't

Retmama Lot 011

too many of us left.

But, as we are all leaving for the summer, the

butterflies are moving in.

But, there are enough of us left here, that this morning we still had Saturday morning breakfast at the clubhouse.  Becky made beer biscuits, and Pearre cooked bacon and French toast.  Mary brought some juicy watermelon.

Afterwards, everyone headed out for their own Saturday chores.

I tackled the laundry while Mark and Walt looked for an air leak in one his tires.  This afternoon, we headed out on our own for a little shopping excursion and lunch.

Once all the chores were complete and we were back to the RV,  we decided the pool was calling our name.

Nothing extremely exciting for the last couple of days, but we are getting a little closer to completing our mission here at Retama, and in the meantime, we are  going to enjoy a few more days here and just be lazy.
