53506 Making The Way Down The Line

This morning we up early again and both anxious to get over to the factory. Today has been a very productive day. When we got there around 7:10 a.m. "53506" had already been moved to the next station .

This is the way we locate the motor home each morning. Once we located it, we spent the rest of the day watching as lots of progress was made today. Join us as we make our way down the assembly line with 53506

This is the back storage area and closet. I opted for the shelving instead of a washer/dryer.

This is the water closet side of the bathroom, housing the toilet and a sink. On the other side is the shower and a vanity sink.

This is the entertainment center at mid-coach, the pantry to be installed on the right hand side

This is what is behind that control panel next to the drivers seat

I wonder what he is looking for?

Hum, I am wondering if he is thinking he can help?

This is the front and rear caps, to be installed tomorrow

A lot of inside work going on at this station....a lot of wiring, cabinet hanging, etc.

These cabinets suspended in mid air will be installed over the the top of the windshield

  8. Mark & Dortha,

We too maintain a travel journal (www.mytripjournal.com/werewinginit). A mutual reader (Mary Lou Montgomery, mlmkk13@aol.com)commented on my journal this morning that you all were "delivering a baby" at Red Bay. We did the same process in early January, 2008 as we accompanied our 2008 Phaeton 36 be born....such exciting times. That excitement is obvious in your entries of the last couple of days.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I've enjoyed catching the last several days of your journal.

  9. This is really neat to follow the building of your own unit. Never knew this was allowed. Thanks for inviting all of us to see it.

  10. Isn't that just the greatest, seeing it all come together ?
I don't think many RV manufacturers let you see your own house being built. Can't wait to see the next episode. Happy Trails, Penny, TX
