Amarillo to Fort Worth

We arrived in Amarillo last night in the rain.  Once we checked in and plugged in, we never got out of the motor home.  It was cold and raining and got colder.  In fact, by Sunday, they are calling for freezing rain and light snow.  Glad we were only there for a one night layover.

This morning we were up, dressed, and ready to leave by 9:00.  We started the last leg of this trip and by the late afternoon arrived in Fort Worth.  Other than a wreck on I-27 just outside of Lubbock, the trip was pretty uneventful.

We were welcomed only by Lily, Karen’s dog.  We got the motor home set up before Karen and Koutney made it home.  They were soon followed by Scott, J, and Caden.

Mark and J wanted barbeque for dinner, so we headed out to the Railhead.  Afterwards, we settled in and enjoyed being with part of the kids.  Tomorrow, we will catch up with Greg, Kate, and Zachary.

Now, that we are settled for awhile, we have lots of routine things to take care of.  Cleaning out cabinets, waxing and polishing…and of course there is the laundry that never seems to be caught up.

All of those things can start on Monday, but for now we are just going to enjoy the weekend and

we hope you have a great weekend too.

  6. What a great trip! We are going to be in the Dallas area tomorrow for a couple of weeks.
Maybe we can get together for a bit. We'd love to hear about you last 4 months, what we can expect at Red Bay for our PM appointment, and I'd like to get some more of The Solution if Mark has any in stock.

What a great summer following you on your blog! And what a joy to be welcomed home by the grandkids!
