Construction is Underway

We were both up early this morning, dressed and ready to get over to the factory. However, it was only 6:30 a.m. We decided it would not be a good idea to get there before the workers. So, we patiently waited until 7:30 and then finally drove over about 8:00. We are both just like little kids. I do believe, this is one of the coolest opportunities we have ever experienced.

We arrived, checked in at the visitor center, got our badges and headed across the street. By the time we got there, they had the chassis on the line and the holding tanks and fresh water tanks had been mounted. And all the compartment flooring was installed. Also, some of the plumbing and electrical work had begun. We made it just in time to see them putting down the sub floor.

After the floor was down, they started pulling the electrical and plumbing

These guys are installing the flooring that goes around the closet at the rear of the coach

They have just installed the steps

Driving to the next station

At this station, they are getting ready to install the tile floor with the help of this nifty little lift

They are applying the mastic glue for the flooring

Here comes the floor

Oh, my, I hope they know where all those wires go

The last job of the day brought us our first amenity!
This brings us to the end of production for today. Tomorrow, we should see all the interior walls, shower, and cabinets being installed. So until then this project is on hold.
