It’s Too Quite

This morning came all too soon and Greg, Kate, Zachary, and Caden pulled out of the RV park at 6:00 am.  They had to drive back to Omaha, Nebraska to catch their flight back to Dallas.  It was about an 8 hour drive from Custer to Omaha, so they needed to get an early start.  I have just had word that they have all arrived back in Dallas.  Glad you guys had a safe trip.  And, again we enjoyed your visit and thanks for getting Caden home safely to his mom and dad.  I know they were glad to see him.

However, it is now really quite around here and Pop is missing his little man.   You were great Caden and Pop and I look forward to another trip with you!

This afternoon, Jim, Ellie, Mark, and I took a trip into Rapid City to stock up on a few needed supplies before we leave on Wednesday.  We also did a little shopping a Cabela’s Sporting Goods.  I have been wanting to get a pair of  hiking boots and I needed to get some jeans.  Mark also found himself a pair of hiking shoes.  Now, we will be ready for those walks when we get to Janna and Mike’s in Big Timber, Montana, and Yellowstone, and points beyond there.

We only have one day left here in Custer and we will be spending it celebrating Ellie and Jim’s 24th anniversary.  Other than Ellie wanting to go to the Blue Bell Lodge for dinner tomorrow evening, we aren’t sure what the day will hold, but we are sure it will be fun.  Happy Anniversary Jim and Ellie and thanks for asking us to share the day with you!

  2. Thank you for the anniversary wishes, and we're just glad we can be with you, too! We also miss little Mr. Sunshine, he's just a sweetheart. We really enjoyed getting to know Kate, Greg, and Zachary, too. You do have a special family!

    Hugs!
