Joy Comes In The Morning

Today, we woke up to rain that soon turned to sunshine.  This is our last day in Big Timber and we needed to run a few errands.  We grabbed Jim and Ellie and took out for a trip over to Livingston.  We made stops at Wells Fargo, the Post Office, the Verizon store, and of course we had to find a place for lunch.  And, by the way, our choice was Mexican food, and it was good, and, I don’t say that about many places outside the state of Texas!

Then it was back to the RV park.  Ellie and I spent the afternoon making and finalizing reservations to carry us through the month of August.  While we were busy with that task, Ellie put on a pot of chicken chili/stew for dinner.  The guys were out do some of their outside chores in preparation for leaving tomorrow.  Then after dinner, we made our plan for morning…you know the one that Mark has been waiting on for a long time…yes, Poppa, we are headed to

Little Big Horn 2009 056

He is ready….

Montana 2009 003

We are planning on pulling out of Big Timber around 8 am and traveling west on I-90.  From Bozeman, we will take 84 over to 287 and around to West Yellowstone.  We will be staying at Lions Head RV Park.  We also are looking forward to the weekend when our 3 oldest grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren, and Zachary will be flying in to join us to help Poppa enjoy his and their first visit to Yellowstone.  He and Lauren have been waiting and planning for this trip for several years now, so truly…Joy Comes In The Morning!

See you all from West Yellowstone.

  2. Mark you will love Yellowstone, there is a ton of stuff to see and most of it will take your breath away. Critters, geysers, mud pots, and clear mountain streams.

  3. My dream of Yellowstone has been put off a bit but it will come someday. Sherri and I are enjoying Lincoln Parish Park here in Louisiana...not Yellowstone but it is beautiful here. If you ever pass by here this would be a must stay for a while. It has a beautiful walk around a very nice lake. The pines here reach all the way to heaven and sing a song when the wind blows...Hope to see you soon
