Wow, what a great week we had in Boston. We saw so much...however, it was time to move on. So, early this morning, we were packed up and ready to travel by 8:00. We wiggled out of the Minute Man Campground and made our way to I-495N and on to I95N.
And, from Massachusetts, through
New Hampshire, across
bridges, into
Maine, and
over rivers...we paid
toll after
toll. When we finally
exited, we had paid a total of $20.00. Toll roads have just become an attraction to us. LOL
Our trip today was about 250 miles today and we got about 8.6 mpg. The trip itself was pretty uneventful until the
storm clouds rolled in and the rains came down. Thankfully, we weren't too far from our destination. And, by the time we arrived at the
Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in Hermon, Maine, the rain was down to a sprinkle. We checked in to this great park, with a great rate. It is Passport America Park and Good Sam...so with both discounts our weekly rate came to $151.00 for full hook-ups with 50amp service, including cable TV. Wifi is $1.00 per 24 hours if you need it.
We were directed to the
back of the park where we settled into
our site.
Our intention was to have a quick lunch and go out exploring the area. However, the rain started again and was pretty steady for most of the afternoon. Finally, late this afternoon, we decided to make a trip to the local Wal-Mart for a few needed items.
Now back to our little town of
Hermon, we are settled in and making a plan for tomorrow.
So, after, our rain delay today, we are hoping that this
beautiful evening sky means that tomorrow will be rain free and we can get on with our Maine adventure.
I sure hope you get good weather. We love Maine..
ReplyDeleteHope the weather turns beautiful for you all tomorrow. Looking forward to what you report to us on your Maine adventure. :)

Bring on the Lobster and Clam Chowder!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Maine that is one place I really would love to see, maybe in the fall. My sister used to cross the border from Fredericton Newbruinswick into Bangor Maine to pick Fiddle Heads to sell to MacCain Foods every year. They are some sort of vegetable. Hope you are planning on eating lots of Lobster.
ReplyDeleteMiss you hope to see you guys soon
