I love lighthouses and we have visited several while we have been here in Savannah. Each time I visit one of them, I can't help but think about the important role they played over the years to the ships and their captains to keep them safe. And each time, I also think about a favorite song of mine, "The Lighthouse". Today, as we visited the lighthouse on Hunting Island. I climbed the 175 steps to the top and as I looked out across the foggy waters of the Atlantic Ocean, the words to that song came back to me. And as the captains of the ships looked for guidance from the light of the lighthouse, I too am so glad to know that I have a lighthouse to guide my way.
