Getting Ready For The Week

Today has been a slow paced but busy day. I made Breakfast Pizza for everyone and then we sort of thought out our day. Ellie and I both needed to do laundry and buy groceries. She had staked out a smaller grocery store in town and wanted to give it a try. I needed to go to Walmart, so we headed out in different directions.

Jim stayed here at the campground to start some of his blue jobs. Mark had a list of blue jobs as well. However, I dragged him with me to do my pink jobs with the promise he would have plenty of time this afternoon to accomplish his outside cleaning and watch football.

Once we were all back at the campground, we decided to grill out again tonight. And, with a combined effort we put together another good meal. Jim and Mark grilled brats and I fixed some Hoppin John and Ellie fixed a plate of veggies, dip, and chips. Yum. Afterwards, Ellie and I quickly cleaned up and prepared to take a walk. I had purchased a new pedometer today and wanted to give it a trial walk before heading out tomorrow. I think it worked great.

We have decided to plan our day trips this week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So, as of right now, our trip for tomorrow will be a drive on The Blue Ridge Parkway and who knows where that might take us.

So, goodnight for now and see you tomorrow from The Blue Ridge Parkway.

  1. This was my territory when I worked for Jim Walter. I spent so much time in the mountains of NC West Virgina Virgina. They told me always make sure you have a full tank of gas and leave the mountains before 4:00 pm. Never wear a suit or tie. I followed those rules till I left to come back to Texas. Just a word to the wise...LOL Have fun and send pleanty of pictures.
