A Last Look At Coeur D’ Alene

Today we took one last look around Coeur D’ Alene.  We went to

the lake and parked at Independence Point.  Right across the street was

the Visitor Center.

We took a walk around

the boardwalk.  There is  a beautiful

hotel there and is surrounded on three sides with parking sites for your yacht.

There were many water activities available….There was

the boat for a lake tour, or

you could take a scenic tour on a float plane.

If you wanted to do your own driving, then you could rent

a one man kayak, or if you needed help to paddle, then

you could ask for a two man kayak.  Not big enough for you, then choose

a giant tricycle.  Just want to hang out and work on your tan?  Then you can find youself a spot

on the beach.  Pretty cool to be in middle of downtown.

We continued our walk on around the boardwalk and saw

these beautiful flowers growing everywhere.  When we made to complete circle, it was time for lunch.  Now, Mark and Jim already had it in their mind that they were eating at

Hudson’s.  But, when we got there, it was only counter seating and there were no seats available and a wait on top of that.  So, Plan B….we walked to the corner and saw

this Mexican Food Restaurant.  Sounds good to us, so off we went.  And, it was yummy.  Ellie and I had veggie enchiladas with rice and black beans.  Jim had his usual combination something or the other, and Mark choose a taco salad.  Afterwards, the guys thought they were going to get

some ice cream, but we detoured them to

the shopping center. LOL

While we were walking through the shopping mall, we saw the perfect trailer…

It had sleeping quarters,

a kitchen, and

picture window.

Before heading to the RV Park, we walked back down to the water where

I had to try out the water.  A little cool, but nice.

Once we were back to the motor homes, it was time to start mapping out tomorrow’s travel plan and  putting things away.  We will be saying good bye to Idaho and heading into Washington.  We will spend the night on the road tomorrow evening and then the plan is go into the Escapees Park at Chimacum, Washington.  It is close to Port Townsend.

I am looking forward to the adventures in the area…Olympic National Park, Victoria Island, Pike’s Market in Seattle, and a whale watching tour,  just to name a few.  So stayed tuned and join us for what promises to be some exciting adventures.
